The appys awards - the awards for the best apps of the year, announced their best in show to be Flipboard. Designed for the iPad, it allows users to pick their favourite websites to create a virtual magazine. Congrats Flipboard!

PS3's Banned FromEuropean Countries!

LG have won a 10 day import ban on the games console. EU customs officers have been told to seize shipments of the device, in Holland tens of thousands have been seized already. It comes after LG have been fighting Sony over the playback facilities for Blu-Ray discs. Stores in the EU say they have eough stock to last around 3 weeks, if the ban is extended.
Sounds like a playground fight to us.

So the time is nearly upon us and apples press conference on Wednesday is nearly here. Here is a list of features the prospective new iPad will have -

Vodafone get robbed, network goes down!!

Hundreds of thousands of vodafone customers in London have experienced severe downtime, after a data centre for the company was broken into in Basingstoke. Thieves stole equipment resulting in down time for texts, voice calls and 3G internet.
In a statement, Vodafone said: "We had a break in last night at one of our technical facilities which resulted in damage done to some of our equipment.
"We are working quickly to restore these and will be back to normal as soon as we can."

iPhone 5 set to have bigger screen?

Rumours are rife this morning that apples eagerly awaited iPhone 5 will have a much larger screen than previous devices. The now customary 'retina' display is said to be larger, with even higher screen resolution. Users will benefit from better screen quality and more real estate space for their apps. We wonder if app developers will be affected by the different screen size? All will be revealed when Pple release the product!!!

iPhone 5 set to be 'complete redesign'

The iphone5 is set to be a complete redesign of the phone an apple insider has said. Without revealing any new features we were simply told that the phone would be completely new, and like nothing we had seen before. We shal see.

Microsoft rumoured to be making a tablet?

The news across the net this morning is that software giants Microsoft are planning to make a tablet based operating system to rivals Apples IOS and Googles Android. This would definitely be an interesting move,especially seeing how badly their windows mobile platform has failed against competitors.
